MAGPIES captain Will Spetch praised his team mates 'desire and determination' after winning their 10th league game on the bounce, after coming from behind to Sporting Club Inkberrow.
The Magpies skipper was out of action with an injury picked up last weekend but was still in the dugout in his capacity as one of Glenn Howes' coaches.
Spetch admitted the team was slow to get going but showed their quality as Ollie Haste levelled the score before Ethan Taylor scored twice after the break to ensure another three points came back to the Avenue.
He said: "Firstly, I just want to thank all the incredible fans who made the long journey today. Your support never goes unnoticed.
"Another massive three points today, making it 10 wins on the spin. Whatever level of football you play, that is some achievement.
"Performance-wise, I felt we started really slowly in the first 20/25 minutes and, once we went 1-0 down, we had to regroup.
"The lads showed real desire and determination to get ourselves back into the game and grab that equaliser.
"Once we scored, I felt we settled into the game well and started to find our rhythm.
"With the weather conditions as they were, we always knew the second half was going to play into our favour.
"It was as simple as getting the ball forward, having the hunger to win those first and second balls, and then playing our football higher up the pitch.
"Ten wins on the spin and top of the league after 11 games. I am so proud of the boys.
"The togetherness, fight and desire we are showing as a team are absolutely first class.
Long may it continue."
