Tins much better than before

It’s a good shape too. A little pricey, and it can’t go in a dishwasher, but look after it and it’ll last a lifetime.
- Jamie Oliver Carbon Steel Bakeware Large Loaf Baking Tin, £8.50, homeandcook.co.uk A good size for bread or cakes, this is a good starter tin. Plus, being Tefal, it has a good non-stick coating too.
- Silicon Loaf Pan, £6.99, clasohlson.co.uk Made from durable silicon, this loaf pan’s guaranteed to temperatures between -50C and 230C, meaning it’s excellent for making parfaits and other frozen desserts as well as baking. More useful than you might think.
