HUNDREDS of people enjoyed free samples of Palmers 200 and Dorset Gold ales when the Bridport brewery’s Beer Bus joined the town’s Saturday street market on September 27.
The event was part of National Cask Ale Week, promoting real ale made by independent breweries such as Palmers.
Shoppers also feasted on bacon sandwiches using rolls baked by Leaker’s Bakery using Palmers’ Tally Ho! ale.
The bus, Ruby, was a vintage 1960s Routemaster loaned for the day by Christophe Dupuy, landlord of the George Hotel in West Bay.
“It was a great day and we were rushed off our feet,” said Palmers’ tenanted trade director Jayson Perfect.
