THE Chamber Philharmonia Cologne orchestra is performing on Monday, August 25 at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Dorchester.

The diverse program features Vivaldi, Mozart, Rossini and Tchaikovsky.

The Chamber Philharmonia Cologne was founded in Cologne, Germany. The city is famous throughout the world for its University of Music and its musical and instrumental teaching. The orchestra’s tours regularly take its members to New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland and many other countries.

In this context, the selection of works and soloists takes on a special significance.

The multifaceted composition of the ensemble provides every member of the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne with the opportunity to perform as a soloist. Tickets are available from Dorchester Tourist Information Centre and at the door from 6.30pm.
