IT has been several decades since there was a Gilbert & Sullivan extravaganza with professionals and accomplished groups of Savoyard enthusiasts combining, but The Best of Gilbert & Sullivan Gala Concert, pictured, at Lighthouse, Poole proved that the wait was over. Bournemouth Gilbert & Sullivan Operatic Society hosted the evening and provided a dozen talented singers in four ensemble numbers plus a chorus which, with friends from societies near and far, numbered nearly 100.
