X FACTOR star Ray Quinn is to perform an informal evening of song in his inimitable crooner style.

Ray will be performing at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for Arts, on Friday, October 17.

Perhaps best known as the runner-up of The X Factor in 2006, where he shot to fame with his insurmountable talent and exuberant, lovable personality, Ray went on to release a platinum-selling album and become a household name.

He took performing to a whole new level over the next couple of years, appearing in theatre, musicals and television.

He met his wife, Dorset-born actress Emma Stephens, on the set of Grease and the couple later set up home in Poole, where their son was born.

Lighthouse audiences will remember Ray’s starring role in panto as Aladdin two years ago, where he became an instant hit.

Most recently he took the title of Dancing on Ice Champion of Champions, wowing the public with his determination and breathtaking skating skills.

Ray has returned to his first love – music.

His second release Old Soul; Young Blood has soared into the iTunes preorder chart at number 2 and he is finally ready to storm the charts with a music that is all his own.

With a refreshed and mature sound, Ray has been working tirelessly with a new team.

The new album was recorded in New York and produced by David Finck, who has worked with the likes of Elton John, George Michael and Rod Stewart. The Lighthouse concert offers fans a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the man himself – a limited number of VIP Meet and Greet tickets are available direct from the ticket office.

Great things are set to come from Ray Quinn in the coming months, and with an arsenal of new sounds, songs, projects, tours and appearances, you’ll want to be part of the journey.

An Evening with Ray Quinn is on Friday, October 17, from 7.45pm.
