MUSIC lovers will have the chance to show their appreciation at a gig with a difference.
Ken Watkins is to perform at The Mission Hall, Sutton Poyntz, near Weymouth, on Saturday May 23.
People are invited to pay what they like for the gig.
Ken is a well known busker in Weymouth and Portland.
On the back of three recent sell-out concerts with Tom Jones’ guitarist, Robbie McIntosh, Ken has decided to take his music out to the villages with a solo concert.
Happiest when performing in front of a listening audience, Ken will be singing some of the songs from a repertoire so eclectic, that it makes him unique in the area.
Following the tradition of busking, there is no set ticket price.
Instead, fans may give what they like at the end of the performance.
There isn’t a bar, but people are welcome to bring their own drinks. Glasses will be provided.
Organiser Angela Heron Watkins said: "So, if you are always rushing past Ken on your way to work, or to get to your car before the warden, come along to Sutton Poyntz for a more relaxed way to listen to him play some excellent quality music.
"He may well play your favourite song."
Ken will be selling his CDs “That Enjoyed Me” and “Fine Friends” on the night.
People should reserve their seats by calling 01305 837299.
