Take a trip back in time to ancient Egypt this summer with a trip to the Tutankhamun Exhibition in Dorchester.

Guests can experience the magnificence and wonder of the world’s greatest discovery of ancient treasure at the exhibition, where Tutankhamun’s tomb, treasures and mummy are superbly recreated to provide a thrilling experience.

They can be there at the discovery and then explore the ante-chamber filled with treasures, including golden animal couches and the sentinel figures of Tutankhamun, and smell the heavy but pleasant odours of fragrant woods, oils and ointments.

Then visitors can enter the burial chamber to witness Howard Carter raising the golden coffins.

In the Hall of Treasures guests can marvel at the superb facsimiles of some of Tutankhamun’s greatest golden treasures, including the famous golden funerary mask and the Harpooner.

Finally come face to face with Tutankhamun’s mummified body. All parts of the exhibition are superbly recreated using sight, sound and smell.

It’s a stunning exhibition seen by nearly two million visitors and has been frequently featured on television. The experience is not to be missed this summer. Adult tickets cost £8.99 and children’s tickets cost £6.99.
