WEYMOUTH have announced the loan signing of midfielder Ben Worman from Cambridge United.

Worman, 19, joins until the end of the season from the League Two promotion hopefuls and links up with clubmate Andy Dallas - the Scot yesterday extending his loan spell.

Echosport understands Weymouth have been interested in Worman for some time, with talks accelerating in mid-April.

Worman made his United bow aged 16, becoming the club's youngest ever player.

Terras' boss Brian Stock told uptheterras.co.uk: “Ben has been involved with the Cambridge United first team all season but due to their form he has found minutes at a premium.

"He’s very well thought of at Cambridge and we’re excited to have him on board.

“He’s young, energetic, tenacious and will bring quality and balance to the side.

"The decision to bring him in is one that makes sense for both us and Cambridge.”

Worman could make his Terras debut at Maidenhead United tonight (7.45pm).
